Which Falcon version do I need?

In Falcon, you can maintain your effect data via an interface from your ERP system. In this article, we explain which settings are necessary to transfer the data:

Creating ledgers and legal entities

You can define the ledgers and legal entities you have stored for each budgeting item in each individual measure. To do this, the ledgers and legal entities must first be initially stored in the hub management.

You can also import the ledgers, legal entities, and assignments (ledgers and legal entities) with an import template. Check this article, if you want to find out how the import works in detail.

Navigate to the administration area by clicking on the gear symbol in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar. In the accounting tab, you can add ledgers (left-hand) and legal entities (right-hand) by clicking on the plus symbol. After that, you can name them and fill in your qualifier, which might be your identifier from your ERP system.

Creating a connection between effects and accounting

If you have filled in the ledgers and legal entities, you can link them with single effect lines on single measures.

To do so, navigate to the effects tab of the measure. Now you simply need to right-click on the effect line, select "Manage accounting" and then "Link accounting".

In the following window, you can choose the ledger and legal entity that should be linked with the effect. By doing so, you show for example that a measure is producing a revenue for Legal Entity A, but at the same time material expenditures for Legal Entity B.

As soon as you have saved the link, it will be shown in the administration area, that an assignment between the measure/effect line and the ledger/legal entity has now been established.

Edit existing connections

If you want to remove an assignment, you can "Unlink accounting" by right-clicking on the respective budgeting item and selecting "Manage accounting".

By clicking on "Link accounting", you can also edit the existing connection.
